Curious Old People
Here are a couple designs I did for the CURIOUS GEORGE movie. The old man in color was based on on an elderly Richard Harris (if he was wearing Ollie Johnstons' sweater). And the one underneath him is what would happen if Dick Van Dyke and Jerry Goldsmith had a baby.

FABULOUS work! Do you know the story of Richard Harris' death? He spent his last years living at the Savoy Hotel on the Strand in London. After his heart attack he was being stretchered through the lobby & as the legend has it he managed to crack one last gag before he died. He told incoming guests not to visit the restaurant - it was the lobster did it!

And to answer PIOTR- These are 2 out of about 30 different passes taken on the same Character - "Mr. Bloomsbery" the Museum owner. The one on the bottom was the final approved design for the film ,But what happened from the time that design left my desk to the final image that appears on the screen is an absolute mystery to me. go to Dave Brewsters link on my blog, He wrote a brief history on the struggle that was Curious George. man Shane, work is about 87% less awesome with the corner all empty. Stupid Andy had to go and have his stupid baby, so now there's no one at all. Hope l.a. is nice and warm.
